On the road : Visiting a true Paradise - Anawangin, Capones & Camara

The first time I heard and saw the pictures of Anawangin & Capones, i already feel the urge of going to those places. But then again, since my friends (mostly) are married the plans of going there remains to be just a plan since it was always cancelled due to unreasonable reasons lol

Then finally when my i heard that my friend Edmund, was going back to the Philippines we plan this (i know) exciting tour. I searched the net for cheap rate and decided to contact Shore to Shore Travel Services Manila since we don't want to have to much hassle on going to that place. So as early as February i already booked our tour (for April 9 -10) isn't it obvious that im too excited? hehehe Our package is for 6 persons (but only 5 of us pushed through) gladly the travel agent didnt charge us a different rate. This includes the hotel accommodation at Pundaquit Luxury Resort, boat ride for our island hopping tour (Anawangin, Capones & Camara) and free breakfasts.

Originally that tour was for our barkada (6 pax), but 2 of my friend backed out so i asked one of my single lady friend, Nherz to joins us.

Pundaquit Luxury Resort
clean room, accommodating staffs (P,1400/person/night for 5 persons)
Inclusions : Air-conditioned room, breakfast & boat ride to 3 island

Finally after waiting for almost 2 months, the long wait is over (hehehe), My friend RC  was generous enough to use his car and drive all the way to Zambales. Before going to our real destination which is in Pundaquit, we first decided to go to Subic and try the Tree Top Adventure (please check my blog for a separate story). Our tree top adventure was all fun, we left subic at 4pm and reached Pundaquit before 7pm. Ate Joy was very accomodating, she lead us to our airconditioned room,  we decided to take a rest first before eating dinner.

a breath-taking sunset when we arrived in Pundaquit

Dinner came, we ordered pancit canton, grilled tilapia &pusit w/talong, and sinigang na baboy, the food was great though we have to wait for several minutes. After dinner we had a chitchat and decided to drink a bottle of redhorse on the shore, after drinking 1 bottle we decided to call it a day and take a rest.

April 10, had our breakfast and all set to our Island hopping tour.

all set! make sure to wear your life vest,
and oh! dont forget your shades, scarves/cap and of course suncblock

Our first destination was the Camara Island, we are all mesmerized on how beautiful this island, the rock formation, clear water, white sand! Wow! Picture perfect! That'swhy we cant help to take "some" photos, that seems to be like a pictorial lol ! Who would have thought that there's a wonderful place in the Philippines like this. You just have to be careful since the stones & rocks on the shore has a lot of moss, so its really slippery, and you will really have a hard time walking from one side to another, but its all worth it. The water is kinda deep so you really have to be careful.

so peaceful, yet so deep

Our second destination was the Capones Island, Capones is famous for its Lighthouse, in Capones you can't really enjoy the beach since the island is full of rock formation and white stones. Once you step on the island you will be greeted my tons of white stones. Like in Camara, you have to be careful in walking since some of the part of the island is slippery and some are steep. Since you cant swim in this island the best thing you can do is take a tour and photos on the lighthouse, again when going up to the lighthouse you have to be careful, because the spiral stairs is too old and whenever you step on it, it wiggles, but thats the thrill there isnt?! :D You will surely enjoy the view atop. Reminder, you have to bring some water to quench your thirst.

  life is sooooooooooo damn good!

Our last and final destination was the Anawangin Cove, from Capones, its 30 minutes boat ride. Anawangin is famous for its white sand and for its camping site. Though when we went there we were kinda disappointed, because the island is really jam packed :D there are lot of campers in every corner island, there are some part that smells awful since there are no decent comfort room on the island. But the water is clear though deep even if you are just a few steps on the shore. But everything is picture perfect! There are stores that sells softdrinks, junk foods, ice and halo-halo! After an hour of taking a dip we decided to go back to the resort (PUndaquit).

you can bring tents, stove and just squat on the island
environmental  fee is P30  per head

The tour was perfect! we feel rejuvenated and refreshed! We were all tired after the tour, but we have to prepare ourselves and our things because we have to check out in an hour, we decided to have late lunch on olangapo, then went to duty free to buy some pasaubong then headed home.

On the road: Our Tree Top Adventure

I first heard about this tree top adventure in a blog, i got curious so surfed the net and found out that its inside SBMA and the rates are cheap (compare to what im expecting). I always want to try this kind of adventure so when my friend Edmund got back from Saudi, I suggested that we go to anawangin and subic and try the tree top adventure.

first stop over at NLEX shell station, heavy breakfast at henlin

So the long wait is over, April 9 we left Manila at around 7pm, thanks to Rc's boss who is so generous that he let us use his car. Our fist stop was at NLEX Shell Station where we eat at Henlin's waited for an hour (sobrang tagal ng service) after that heavy dinner we headed na to Subic, but before reaching our destination we had a lot of stop overs hahahah, first we need to stop at Petron to meet Rc's co worker who will be our tour guide. Had our lunch at Anne's Kitchenette which was preferred by our tour guide, the food was great and cheap :)

Then finally after so many stop overs, we were able to find the location of Tree Top Adventure. We were first greeted by Kuya Duds, who oriented on us on the rides nad guidelines we need to remember. Our first rides was the Silver Surfer, like what ive said im afraid of heights but still was able to enjoy this ride yun nga lang di masyado heheheh because i got dizzy everytime the rides sway, and of course i wont look down kasi baka maging nasirang Jennet na ko hahahah.

safety first!

We also tried the Superman Ride, but before this Rc and Nherz tried the Tree Drop adventure or rapelling, which made us laugh out loud hihihih. This was the first time i hear Nherz scream really loud na akala mo siya si Jane hahahahah and after their ride wooooooooow pare pareho silang namumutla hahahah lucky me at di ako nagpadala sa kanila kundi isa rin ako sa pinagtatawanan lol

nherz preparing for her tree drop (ala james bond drop :))

Our final ride was the Superman Ride, its like zipline, at first i was really praying and asking myself if I can make it, coz seeing how deep and how high it was OMG, im starting to get dizzy already, but then again have to conquer my fear, thats why go go go sago! But whoooooooa i wasnt expecting that i will really really enjoy this kind of ride, as in I feel like a superwoman, i was able to look down and enjoy the view.
